Marco Polo is an American award winning cheese, handmade at the Pike Place market in Seattle. Green and black peppercorns are mixed into the Flagship cheese resulting in a rich, savory cheese with buttery notes. Marco Polo has won many awards including 1st place at the American Cheese Society 2008, gold medal at the World cheese Awards, 2007. Serve it on a grilled burger or grate it into a baked potato. It pairs well with Merlot.
Marco Polo Reserve is a special version, the wheels are bandaged in cheesecloth and open-aged to allow slightly lower moisture, focusing on the rich flavour with a long finish.
Marco Polo Reserve has won many awards including 1st place at the American Cheese Society in 2011, 2012, 2014.
