Prairie Rose

Prairie Rose is an Alpine style Swiss-style cheese with a smooth creamy texture and mild flavour. It has an edible natural rind that envelopes a light golden interior.

This is a seasonal cheese produced only from May to September from the milk of pasture-grazed cows in the rolling hills of Southern Iowa. It has a gorgeous nutty aroma with a velvety and complex texture. Flavours are full, finishing off with an intense aroma of hay and grass. The wheels are aged minimum of ten weeks before releasing it in the market.
