Cabecou Feuille D'Armagnac is a French goat's cheese from the Perigord area of south-western France. This fresh cheese is dipped in plum brandy, sprinkled with a little black pepper and then wrapped in a couple of chestnut leaves. At the first bite, you get the slight kick from aromatic brandy flavours of Armagnac, then the spicy bite from pepper, finishing off with a smooth, soft essence of a typical chevre cheese. It is a fresh, soft cheese that is meant to be consumed immediately. Delicious and addictive, Cabecou Feuille will last for only a few weeks before passing its prime. Pair it with fruity wines such as Pinot Noir, Riesling or Shiraz.
