Sveciaost is a Swedish cheese that is made from cow's milk. It is a semi-hard cheese similar to Herrgardsost. It has moist and supple texture. Svecia is eaten at various stages of ripening depending upon whether it is preferred mild or strong. The affinage takes from 3 months to 1 year. The fat content is 45%. There are several versions of the cheese, including cloves, cumin and caraway.
