Knockdrinna Gold

Knockdrinna Gold is a semi hard cheese made using pasteurised goat's milk and vegetarian rennet. It has been named 'Best Modern British' at the 2013 British Cheese Awards. The cheese is made by Knockdrinna Farmhouse Cheese at their cheese dairy in Stoneyford.

Knockdrinna Gold develops a pinkish beige colour natural rind beneath which is a white paste dotted with small air holes. It has a creamy texture and a smoky nutty flavour with a hint of pepper when mature.
